Civica strengthens cloud leadership with growing presence on Digital Marketplace
More than 285 cloud software products and services now available on the UK government’s G-Cloud procurement framework
Civica, an international leader in software for public services, continues to build on its leading cloud position with new product launches and more than 285 software products and services added to the UK Government’s Digital Marketplace, under the latest G-Cloud procurement framework.
The Group has continued its strategic focus on cloud software, increasing activity both organically and via acquisition and now supplies cloud software for more than 2,600 customers. With a cloud model standard for many solutions, two-thirds of Civica’s major new software deals in the current financial year to date have been cloud-based.
Civica delivers its own business-critical cloud software applications, digital solutions and consultancy services to help customers move applications and infrastructure to the cloud. Its suite of enterprise software supports more than two million professionals across customer engagement, business management, workforce productivity, financial management and payments to deliver high quality services and better outcomes.
With cloud the foundation for modern digital solutions, the company continues to harness new technology, from chatbots to connected devices, and add new skills to create high-value digital services across the wider business. Examples includes Civica’s partnership with the Department for Transport via its collision reporting and sharing system, CRaSH, which is transforming the management of road traffic collisions across UK police forces.
The integration of recent acquisitions has also strengthened Civica's cloud portfolio. This includes software for electoral management, online engagement, asset inspection & maintenance, delivery management and e-recruitment, plus apps for meeting management and corporate governance.
Civica also provides a Cloud Optimisation Service to help customers maximise value from their public cloud spend across multiple platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google and AWS, while enhancing governance. The company’s partnership with the University of Roehampton to support its migration to Microsoft Azure and Office 365 has put the University on track to save £4.2 million.
Civica chief executive Wayne Story said: “Cloud is the enabler to deliver better, faster and more innovative public services, especially in this challenging, budget-constrained environment. It provides the firm foundation for innovation, from supporting earlier interventions in healthcare through AI or creating smarter cities with IOT technology.
“As a cloud leader, Civica’s vision is to enable agile, efficient and innovative services for our customers and to harness the potential of digital, cloud and data to support communities and improve lives. Our increased range of products and services means we can support our customers as they continue to migrate and maximise their investments in cloud technology.”
