Batley Multi-Academy Trust chooses cloud financial software from Civica
The Trust will implement Civica’s cloud software Education FinancialsLIVE, to gain single view of finances across its schools and support future growth
Batley Multi-Academy Trust (Batley MAT) has chosen the latest Education FinancialsLIVE cloud software from Civica, a market leader in business-critical software applications, digital solutions and managed services, to save time and boost efficiency in meeting the Trust’s financial objectives.
Since starting with a single school in 2016, Batley MAT has grown steadily and now runs four academies in the Batley, West Yorkshire area. With a fifth set to join in September 2019, the Trust will have more than 3,200 pupils. An existing user of Civica’s Resource 32000, the new cloud software will underpin the Trust’s growth, streamlining administration and reporting and enabling paperless working and better data-led decisions across its schools.
Alan Brown, Finance Director at Batley MAT explained: “As with other Academies and Trusts across the country, we are facing significant financial and administration challenges and a robust, secure and reliable financial management system is critical to our strategy.
“We expect to expand our Trust in the near future and Civica’s FinancialsLIVE will fully support this, with a single point of entry to all our financial data and a real-time view of all information.”
As integrated software, Education FinancialsLIVE will bring cost savings and efficiencies through more effective deployment of employees at the MAT, minimising duplication of work and automating manual tasks. The software will improve financial transparency across Batley, providing a consolidated financial view and the ability to drill down and see what is being spent where.
Education FinancialsLIVE will allow the Trust to take advantage of a single bank account and optimise purchasing processes, which will help all of its schools benefit from a centralised system.
Simon Wilde, Managing Director for Education at Civica added: “We’re very pleased to continue to work with Batley MAT to help it meet both the challenges of expansion and the strategic aim to provide students with the best education possible. Our cloud software Education FinancialsLIVE is scalable and secure, which will improve outcomes for the Trust and its pupils as well as support its ambitious future growth plans.”
Civica delivers education management and business software for more than 7,000 schools, colleges and libraries globally, supporting over a million students and employees. Its cloud software provides improvements and efficiencies with an integrated view of finances and resources.
