Civica appoints former Sage Group CEO Guy Berruyer as non-executive director

Appointment of industry leader will support next stage of development for international software group

Civica Group, a global leader in public services technology, has announced the appointment to the Board of Guy Berruyer, the former chief executive officer of Sage Group plc, as non-executive director with effect from 1 April 2019.

Mr Berruyer brings significant insight and expertise as a former FTSE-100 chief executive, a position he held at Sage Group from October 2010 until November 2014. His career in technology includes 17 years with the global enterprise software company, during which time he was instrumental in driving its cloud strategy. Guy was previously with Groupe Bull and Intuit.

His appointment will strengthen our Group Board and underlines our commitment to the long-term growth and development of Civica as a leading cloud software company. His expertise will be valuable in supporting our future growth plans and ongoing technology innovation.”

Guy is currently non-executive chairman of software engineering company Linaro Limited and robotic process automation (RPA) provider Softomotive, and a non-executive director at Meggitt PLC. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a degree in electrical engineering, and until January 2019 served as a council member at the University of Southampton.
