22nd January 2024
On Thursday 25th May and Wednesday 31st May, I used two half-days from my Days of Difference to help me reach my '100 miles in May' goal and raise money for the British Heart Foundation. On 25th May, I walked from our Belfast hub to Hilden (plus a bit extra), which totalled 11.59 miles, then on 31st May, I walked from my home in Portadown to my grandmother’s house in Laurelvale (plus a bit extra), which totalled 11.17 miles. All together I managed a huge 117.67 miles (manually tracked, or 146.65 miles captured by phone) which I'm absolutely delighted with.
So far, our group has raised £600+ for the British Heart Foundation. If you'd like to donate (and can), here's our fundraising page. Days of Difference is a fantastic initiative and I'm looking forward to using it again in the future!
