Lake Macquarie invests a further $1.2 million in Civica’s next-gen cloud-based enterprise management solution Authority 7.1

An on-time, on-budget go-live and a collaborative approach to project management sees Lake Macquarie City Council sign another deal with Civica International.

  • Latest investment further streamlines processes, increases efficiencies and achieves the Council’s vision of connected communities.
  • The Council will deploy Authority’s Land Information Systems by November 2019 following a successful go-live of Finance and Assets modules in July this year.
  • In 2017, Lake Macquarie City Council invested A $ 6.3 million in Civica’s Authority 7.1 local government software to run its complex and diverse business.

Sydney, August 9, 2018: Civica, one of Australia’s leading suppliers of critical software applications, digital solutions and managed services that help transform the way organisations work, is pleased to announce that Lake Macquarie City Council has agreed to implement the Land Information System in Authority 7.1.

Authority 7.1 is Civica’s cloud-hosted enterprise management solution built on a corporate enterprise information system approach specifically designed for local governments. It features a completely redesigned user interface and a modern and responsive portal for council officers and the community and offers a range of reporting, productivity and performance benefits to local authorities and their citizens.

The Land Information System will allow Council to transform the way they manage property data and the rating process whilst delivering online property-based services to their residents, eliminating the need for citizens to visit the council office.

Speaking about the latest investment, Morven Cameron, Chief Executive Officer at Lake Macquarie City Council explained it was Civica’s solution, combined with their openness to collaborate, that led the Council to invest in the next phase.

“It is important for Council to have a total business solution that is responsive to changing needs, is mobile accessible and improves the way we do business and interact with our customers. I am pleased that our team at Council have been able to collaborate with Civica to deliver the first phase of our transformation, implementing finance, asset management, payroll and customer request management in Authority 7.1. We look forward to continuing to work with the team at Civica to deliver a broader Land Information System that integrates property, rating, applications, certificates and other property related modules,” Ms Cameron said.

Ben Cowling, Managing Director for State & Local Government Solutions at Civica International said: “Authority 7.1 is purpose-built to suit the requirements of forward-thinking organisations like Lake Macquarie City Council. The Council has a clear vision and a strategy to realise their transformation agenda. We are proud of our partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council and the phase one implementation was a team effort. We will no doubt have similar success with the Land Information System.”
