Tranman supports new DVSA compliance pilot
Civica's fleet management solution Tranman is supporting the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) with its current Earned Recognition pilot, designed to help fleet operators optimise fleet compliance while limiting roadside inspections.
The DVSA Earned Recognition pilot will see operators rewarded with fewer compliance checks in return for access to the company’s in-vehicle tachograph and maintenance data, enabling them to make remote checks. Civica is playing an active role in the pilot by developing software to enable this: the software allows operators to monitor their Earned Recognition performance status via simple dashboards, and automatically submit the appropriate reports required to the DVSA on a monthly basis.
The DVSA is aiming to relieve the current burden on businesses which have a high level of compliance by reducing the number of vehicle inspections.
We see this pilot from the DVSA as essential in boosting efficiencies for our fleet customers, saving them time due to fewer inspections, while also ensuring their vehicles remain compliant for the future.”
Matt Goodstadt, Managing Director, Transport at Civica
Interested fleet operators can take part in the pilot by allowing a DVSA approved auditor to undertake a review of their compliance records and then use Civica Tranman to automatically submit compliance data to the DVSA each month.
Civica’s fleet management solution Tranman is used by 22% of local authorities and over 100 large private sector organisations, saving customers £1m through fleet reviews.
