Snowy Monaro Regional Council to improve people engagement with Civica
Sydney, May 28 2019: Civica, the market leader in business-critical software, digital solutions and managed services for the public sector and regulated markets, is pleased to announce that Snowy Monaro Regional Council has selected the Civica Authority solution for the Council’s current and future ICT needs.
Located in the Snowy Mountains and Monaro regions of New South Wales, Australia, the Snowy Monaro Regional Council formed in 2016 through a merger of the Cooma-Monaro Shire, Snowy River Shire and Bombala Councils. As a result of the amalgamation, the new Council faced the challenge of merging multiple IT solutions into a single integrated suite of applications.
Following a detailed evaluation of vendor solutions, implementation methodologies and ongoing support capabilities, Snowy Monaro Regional Council chose Civica for its ability to supply and implement an effective and completely integrated solution within the Council’s required timeframe. The consolidation will see three systems, including two versions of Authority already in use, rolled into Civica’s Authority 7.
The Authority solution also aligns with the Council’s ICT strategy to improve customer interaction, build a connected community, and provide self-service options for its almost 21,000 citizens. Scheduled to go live in May 2020 with the implementation phase currently underway, customers and employees will be able to transact with the Council 24/7 via multiple devices.
