Teign Housing goes live with Civica’s cloud-based Cx Housing & Asset Management solutions

Teign Housing, based in South Devon has gone live with a new integrated housing and asset management system, Civica Cx – the digital platform for social housing.

This is part of the housing association’s commitment to drive its digital agenda forward to increase efficiency and quality of service delivery. Teign is dedicated to high quality customer service and creating sustainable communities. Using a web-based system with CRM, housing and asset management, Teign will enhance customer service by delivering a complete view of both its customers and their properties. It will enable Teign Housing’s employees to work both more efficiently and flexibly via mobile devices.

The fully-integrated solution manages a number of areas including: contacts and assets; CRM and communications; rent arrears and void management; repairs, planned maintenance, servicing and inspections; complaints/feedback; and portals for both contractors and tenants.

Teign Housing’s Chief Executive Jo Reece said: “Our employees want to provide our customers with the best possible service. It was time for an upgrade and our investment in this intuitive software provides a robust, digital platform for innovation in our Housing Service delivery.”

Employees from across the organisation formed a project team and reviewed a number of different systems through a series of in-depth demonstrations. Civica Cx was the clear favourite due to its modern browser-based housing management application which has been written using the latest Microsoft technologies.

Changing any housing management system is always going to be a huge project, requiring significant resources in both time and money to implement successfully. Civica provided an intensive project plan and allocated a dedicated project team.

Teign Housing’s Head of Corporate Services Karen Johnson said: “We can now move away from a lot of time consuming manual processes, and will reduce our staff processing time by around 40%. We have also eradicated the need for spreadsheets as all of our workflows have been put into Cx, which in term will reduce the level of risk and errors associated with manual processing.”
