Saffron Wellbeing Portal at Contract Catering Awards 29th March 2022
Software provider Civica is supporting the Contract Catering Awards by providing its Saffron Wellbeing Portal to support the awards dinner on 29th March.
Civica, which is also sponsoring the Innovation Award, will profile the awards menu via its Wellbeing Portal, displaying nutritional information, allergen information and a CO2 value for each dish. Diners at the Leonardo Royal Hotel will be able to access the page using a QR code on table menus.
Normally used by schools, universities, healthcare providers and NHS Trusts to communicate nutritional and allergen information to users, the portal offers a public-facing URL where staff, students, patients and customers can access details from anywhere.

Many of the shortlisted entries for this year’s Contract Catering Awards use Civica Saffron to manage their catering operations more effectively so it’s a natural fit for us to support the event in this way.

With Net Zero firmly on the agenda, this carbon foot printing data is also available in the Saffron system to enable caterers to easily report the carbon impact of their catering operation, including purchasing, operations and food waste, without the need for third-party plug-ins.
