Victorian Government and Civica sign business process services contract to support new Fines Victoria model
Partnership represents Civica Group’s largest ever contract and will support the State’s future service delivery vision for five years with options to extend
Civica, a leading international supplier of critical software applications, digital solutions and managed services that help transform the way organisations work, has won a contract with the Victorian State Government, Australia to support the administration of the State’s new fines system and its plan for efficient and improved service delivery.
The contract signed with the Department of Justice and Regulation is worth approximately AUD$200 million over an initial five years and marks another significant achievement for Civica, following the software contract award from the Victorian Government in 2016.
Civica has been engaged to support the administration of the fines system, including the operation of Contact Centre, Operational Support and Outbound Correspondence services.
The Victorian Government selected Civica after an open tender which examined Civica’s credentials in supporting successful business services partnerships for public sector clients. Civica has a strong track record in achieving successful outcomes from platform-based business process services partnerships in a number of geographies, including the UK and Singapore, where the company has a number of significant contracts aligned to its critical software solutions.
The new partnership will support the management and operations of the Victorian Infringement and Enforcement Warrants (“VIEW”) system separately awarded to Civica last year.
Civica will undertake a major recruitment of existing employees to support the introduction of the Fines Reform Act and the new VIEW system. The operation will continue to be based in the Melbourne CBD.
We are excited to be extending our partnership with the Victorian State Government and we look forward to supporting the Department of Justice & Regulation’s vision for the future, including the introduction of the Fines Reform Act and the new VIEW system. This contract represents a milestone for Civica globally and for our Australian business in particular.”
Richard Fiddis, Managing Director of Civica’s businesses outside of the UK
Gary Bell, Executive Director of Civica’s Outsourcing division, said: “This is our first business process services contract in Australia and our largest contract win to date. Our team is skilled at implementing digital technology alongside specialist transformation expertise to deliver an improved service at scale, and we look forward to bringing on board a large number of people and welcoming them to the Civica family with a real focus on delivering for the State.”
