Mid Yorkshire NHS transforms cancer care services using Civica Clinical Pathways

Mid Yorkshire NHS implemented Civica Clinical Pathways, end-to-end cancer pathway management software, to bring greater clarity and coordination to complex cancer services.

By consolidating workflows into one integrated NHS clinical pathways solution, the Trust replaced manual validation checks and duplicated data entry with real-time pathway visibility. Routine tasks that once required significant staff time now run seamlessly in the background, allowing clinical nurse specialists and MDT teams to focus on patient care.

With a single source of truth across referral, diagnostics, treatment and follow up, operational leaders can identify pathway risks earlier and maintain consistent governance across sites.

The Trust has also successfully introduced remote patient monitoring across prostate, breast and lower GI cancers, supporting appropriate patients safely from home while sustaining clinic capacity.

This case study explores how Mid Yorkshire NHS strengthened service resilience, improved operational grip and created a more connected cancer experience for patients and staff.
