Civica strengthens position in the legal sector with integration of Norwel

Civica, a market leader in critical software applications, digital solutions and outsourcing, has established a stronger position in the legal market with the integration and re-branding of the former Norwel Computer Services business, following its acquisition in April 2016. Combining the specialist software and service expertise of both companies, Civica now supplies more than 180 customers in the legal sector spanning both the public sector and private practice.

Under the Civica name the business will continue to develop and support Norwel’s software systems alongside Civica’s existing legal product and service portfolio. These include modern applications for legal case management, practice management, coroner’s services and debt recovery, including cloud-based software-as-a-service, which help customers to streamline day-to-day processes and deliver improved services and greater productivity.

The business has continued to perform well and the integration coincides with the latest new wins including contracts to supply Prescient+ legal case management software for Leicester City Council and Brighton & Hove City Council, as well as success in the private sector with Hawley & Rodgers. Civica has continued strong momentum with Coroner’s software including new wins in South Wales Central, Greater Manchester South, Blackpool & Fylde, Worcestershire and Coventry.

We are committed to helping legal teams deliver improved services and greater productivity through more connected and efficient ways of working. The integration of Norwel provides a stronger business to respond to evolving customer needs, with broad capability and expertise and an excellent track record.”
