25th May 2023

Two new appointments will accelerate global GovTech ambition

Civica has announced two key appointments to its global leadership team, a move aimed at accelerating the company’s ambition to be the global GovTech champion.

Business strategy and transformation leader Shambhavi takes on the newly created role of Group Chief Revenue Officer. She will lead Civica’s Go-To-Market strategy, thereby ensuring customers get the very best from Civica. Shambhavi joins Civica from Salesforce, where she served in key executive leadership roles, including most recently as Chief Operating Officer (COO), UK & Ireland.

Joining Shambhavi on the global executive team will be Derek Wise, who has been appointed as Chief Product & Technology Officer. A former US Marine and passionate technologist, Derek has held a wide range of senior technology and product roles, most recently as Chief Product Officer, Data Cloud, at Oracle.

These key appointments come off the back of another excellent year for Civica, with the UK-headquartered, global GovTech provider recently celebrating 21 years of sequential year-on-year growth.

Lee Perkins

Chief Executive Officer,

CIVICA

GovTech is a game-changer for people and communities around the world. We are passionate about our part in supporting public servants in the delivery of citizen experiences every day. Our cloud software is already powering many of these experiences, but the true potential of GovTech has yet to be fully realised and that’s what excites us most at Civica.

As a company which, for more than 21 years, has been creating software that delivers critical services and helps improve the lives of citizens every day, we are passionate about GovTech and helping create a better digital future.

Shambhavi and Derek have joined us at a pivotal point on that journey and I’m delighted to welcome them to Civica. The wealth of expertise, insights and passion they bring to the team will be vital in helping us deliver for our customers and become the global GovTech champion.
