Helping The Nottingham to bring facilities management inhouse

Civica Property Management delivers benefits for Nottingham Building Society

Nottingham Building Society (The Nottingham) selected Civica Property Management (formerly tf cloud, from The Technology Forge) to support the creation of an inhouse facilities management and help desk system.

Founded in 1849, The Nottingham is a top ten building society operating online and via its network of over 40 branches across nine counties. The Society is well-known for providing a safe and secure place for people’s savings and helping its members into their own homes. More recently The Nottingham has been developing its digital savings capabilities with new platform, Beehive Money.

The Nottingham chose optional modules covering Property, Plant Manager, Help Desk, Inspections, Contracts, Estates, Property Questionnaire, Fire Risk, Legionella and Utilities. A key requirement was to be able to provide access to three major groups of users; branch and head office staff, suppliers (to upload information) and management and administration staff (to edit and control data). To manage this process, The Nottingham is using the dedicated Contractor portal for suppliers to upload relevant data and the Self-Serve portal to provide controlled access to key data for light touch users.

The partnership approach adopted resulted in Civica Property Management going live in just 12 weeks after the project kick-off meeting.

A key component underpinning our decision to bring facilities management inhouse was the sourcing of a reliable, efficient, and innovative partner to supply our core management system. From day one, the partnership has been very collaborative, to shape delivery in line with our evolving requirements. Early feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive with comments on the intuitive feel and ease of use. We are continuing to develop how we use the system and are excited about the benefits that this will bring to the Society.
