There are lots of thrills, chills, and laughter in the first of the Lockwood and Co series. Restless spirits have risen up to haunt this alternate England and the land needs the help of Psychic Investigations Agencies to put them to rest again. We get to take part in the adventure along with Lucy, George, and Lockwood, our engaging but flawed heroes and, as you would expect with a Jonathan Stroud book, this has mystery, wit, and a quirky, unique premise. This series is definitely going to become one of my favourite comfort reads to curl up with on a spooky, winter’s evening.
