Contract extension to provide full managed service and support remote working during COVID-19
Civica has agreed a new two-year, £1.8m contract with the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to provide major cloud-transformation services across the organisation.
Formed in 2012, the London Legacy Development Corporation’s purpose is to use the opportunity of the London 2012 Games and the creation of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to develop a dynamic new heart for east London, creating opportunities for local people and driving innovation and growth. By 2025, the organisation plans to support 40,000 jobs on and around the Park.
Via the new contract, Civica will provide strategic advice and services to support LLDC’s 300 user base of staff, contractors and partners to work more effectively wherever based and support its agile working agenda by moving more services to the cloud. Civica will help LLDC reduce technical debt by taking on software and asset management, while reducing third-party costs.
A long-term Civica partner, LLDC’s employees already use Microsoft 365 and SharePoint (LiveTiles) to support agile working. With most employees working remotely since March 2020, LLDC needed to access corporate resources with ease. Business applications are now linked into LiveTiles for an improved experience including single sign-on.
To date, 95% of LLDC’s users are now laptop based and the organisation has seen a 22% reduction in print volumes, supporting its sustainability objectives. Civica will now support further development of workflow services including implementing OneDrive in the future.
Jim Wood, Director of IT and Information Services at London Legacy Development Corporation said:
Continuing our strategic partnership with Civica will help us continue developing the best agile working environment for all our people. Together we’ve been able to roll out new cloud technology quickly to help the business work remotely and our people have adapted to this extremely well. We’re looking forward to the future benefits this will bring for us to drive further collaboration and innovation across the organisation.
Vipul Patel, Divisional Managing Director, Platform Services at Civica added:
With the added pressure of COVID-19 on organisations, it’s vital to help boost the agile, flexible working environment with the best cloud services available. We’re delighted to continue supporting LLDC on its cloud transformation journey and helping build an even stronger platform for growth in the future.
With the increasing adoption of cloud services – and the complexities of a hybrid environment – Civica’s managed service capabilities help support a wide range of central government, local government, housing and education customers to reduce technical debt by minimising wasteful consumption and non-compliance across multiple technology environments.
