Leading NI software provider Civica appointed to prestigious procurement body
Global smart software leader Civica, which developed the COVIDCertNI and COVIDCareNI apps has been awarded a place on a new public sector framework intended to make it easier for public sector bodies to access support with technical support services.
The Office of Government Procurement (OGP), a procurement body for the Republic of Ireland, has introduced two national framework agreements, one of which, the Multi Supplier framework will provide technical support services to augment the in-house capacity of clients to help deliver ICT projects and services. Civica will support development including apps, web design and development, DevOps, and release.
The Framework is designed to allow government bodies to respond quickly to changing demands by appointing external resources from a predefined list of suppliers. It is open to any government department and/or agency in Ireland, across central and local government, education, health, and housing.
Civica was chosen for the Framework as a leading global software expert in the public sector, delivering to both central and local government departments in different geographies. It has a strong presence in Northern Ireland, supporting the region’s public services at all levels.

Mark Owens
Managing Director (NI),
Our innovative software is helping vital public services both here in Northern Ireland and around the globe to become more smarter and more resilient, despite the huge challenges we’ve faced over the past two years.
Digital transformation is not about solutions to individual problems; it’s a much wider journey and one that Civica, as a market leader in public sector software, is delighted to be helping spearhead. As a member of the OGP Framework, we look forward to helping lead public bodies across Ireland on their own transformative journeys.
