12-month Fixed Term Contract (likely to be extended)

Are you an experienced software development Business Analyst available to join us on a Fixed Term Contract?

We are the UK’s leading provider of election services, with unrivalled in-house resources and digital solutions to help a variety of organisations plan elections, manage data securely and engage voters.  We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst to identify, evaluate and document business requirements for both new and existing product (software) developments.

Responsibilities will include –

  • Working closely with the Product Manager and other BAs to review priorities and timescales for product delivery and customer needs. 
  • Put plans in place to deliver the necessary analysis for approved projects.
  • Creation, management and review of requirements, design, estimates etc.
  • Influencing the product strategy by continuously monitoring market needs, considering technological advances, competitor products and the changing requirements of customers
  • Review and management of incoming enhancement requests and production defects fixes and help prioritise developments for release. 
  • Define product packages and new solutions by bringing together products from more than one product portfolio, and third parties, to provide innovative customer solutions.
  • Liaising with relevant third-party suppliers and business partners.  
  • Liaising with user groups. 
  • Coordinate and communicate product releases and launches, ensuring awareness within the Company 
  • Assist with the testing of new functionality and releases, including User Acceptance Testing. 
  • Assist with the production and maintenance of customer facing product documentation and presentations. 

About you:

3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst capacity in a software development and software delivery environment, working collaboratively with software development teams.

Experience creating functional, technical and development specifications

1+ years’ experience working in Agile (Scrum) delivery

Any experience delivering into Local Government would be beneficial, ideal if the candidate has experience of electoral systems / processes

Strong customer facing skills

Commercially astute with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
