Cladco Profiles chooses Civica for new TranSend cloud software contract

Cladco will digitise delivery management process with ePOD and route planning via new five-year agreement

Civica, a global leader in software for public services, has signed a new five-year contract with Cladco, a leading supplier of roofing, cladding and outdoor materials, for its TranSend delivery management cloud-optimised software. 

From its head office depot in Okehampton, Devon, Cladco operates a fleet of 25 vehicles across mainland UK.  Via the TranSend software, Cladco will implement electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) and simplify route planning to automate its delivery processes and tracking capability from vehicle loading through to return to depot.

TranSend route builder will import order information from the SAP Business One ERP system and build routes for upload to the drivers’ devices. This will simplify the route planning process by replacing a manual process and reducing planning time for 30,000 deliveries per annum.

Vehicle load and unload scanning will confirm items loaded for the route before departure and will record returned goods for inward processing. This ensures that products are tracked through the entire delivery and return cycle.

The TranSend app includes driver and vehicle checks, for duty of care compliance before leaving the depot.  For any incidents that occur on the route, the incident app guides the driver through the recording process to ensure compliance. 

Drivers will be presented with step-by-step instructions on the ePOD app to handle multiple delivery jobs at each stop, which can vary by customer or product.

The ePOD app features contactless delivery processing to enable Cladco to follow current government distancing guidelines.  The app workflow directs the driver to use photographic data capture for recording proof of delivery in place of customer signature.
