Pattersons Cleaning & Catering Supplies select TranSend ePOD and integrated route planning to improve B2B delivery services to businesses throughout the UK

Pattersons, a specialist UK supplier of cleaning and catering products, has chosen TranSend ePOD and route planning as part of a wider system upgrade, to support its growing business in offering a fast, reliable delivery service.

Pattersons operates a fleet of delivery vehicles from their Bristol head office depot, with additional depots in Redditch, Newton Abbott and Rochdale. TranSend ePOD and route planning will enable the company to maximise the use of its existing fleet through more efficient planning and provide real-time visibility of deliveries, collections and returns.

Orders will be passed through from their new ERP system for route planning and optimisation with TranSend.

Drivers will use TranSend ePOD on Android smartphone devices to manage the delivery process for their route, including any ad-hoc collections.

The Route Compliance module will manage delivery compliance against the planned route and provide detailed reports and enquiries including individual driver debriefs.

The TranSend back office processing application will provide complete visibility of each route using GPS tracking from the PDA, capture any events and exceptions as they happen, highlight issues as required, and provide detailed reports and enquiries.
