Creed Foodservice helps customers comply with food safety legislation
Creed Foodservice is a food wholesaler distributing food across a range of sectors including care, education and destination leisure. Founded in 1972, the business currently has three depots servicing the UK.
Creed selected Saffron as their catering management solution, Rosie Ward, Technical Manager, Creed Foodservice explains:
“What initiated the implementation of a catering management solution was that we wanted to provide our customers with an added-value solution that is unique. General feedback that we receive from customers is that they wanted a solution to make managing allergens and recipe costs easier and more transparent.
We chose Saffron because we liked the idea of the recipe builder module: it provides a ‘one stop shop’ of information for our customers and their bespoke recipes. The system is very easy to use and helps support users in staying compliant with current legislation.
In terms of getting started, we found that Saffron is easy to implement into a business. We upload our full product catalogue on the system with allergen, nutritional and customer pricing so the customer is set up almost instantly.
Consumers are becoming more nutritionally inclined and are starting to demand transparency within the food chain. Saffron provides detail for consumers to help guide their decision when choosing food.”
