Civica apprentice takes new qualification with distinction

Civica apprentice Daniel Wright achieves distinction as QA’s first graduate on the new Infrastructure Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship

QA’s first learner to complete the new Infrastructure Technician Level 3 apprenticeship has achieved the highest grading – a distinction.

Daniel Wright who works in Civica’s Leeds office, not only completed his final synoptic project within two days but was also extremely impressive at interview and subsequently received a distinction – the highest grade.

To help Daniel achieve his full potential, Civica worked in partnership with QA which provided a comprehensive blended learning programme built around the new standard and a dedicated skills coach who supported Daniel throughout his apprenticeship journey.

Wendy Merry, Civica’s Executive Director, People and Organisational Development commented: “Civica has a very strong focus on investing in its people and company culture. As a member of the 5% club, we are fully committed to growing our intake of graduates and apprentices and building a highly-skilled workforce for the future.”

Commenting on his achievement, Daniel added: “After finishing in traditional education, taking on an IT apprenticeship seemed like a good opportunity for progression, with the added benefit of being able to learn on the job. I have gained so much from my apprenticeship at Civica, and QA provided me with unrivalled support throughout the duration of my programme.”
