Civica confirms major success on new G-Cloud 9 Framework
The Civica Group, a market leader in business-critical software applications, digital solutions and outsourcing and cloud-based services, has confirmed a major presence for its services on the latest version of the G-Cloud Framework, G-Cloud 9.
In total, Civica has 217 products and services available to purchase using G-Cloud 9, via its online catalogue, the Digital Marketplace. Civica now has a broad range of bespoke cloud products and services across the three lots hosted on G-Cloud 9: namely cloud software, cloud hosting and cloud support services.
This is a significant extension of Civica’s products and services on G-Cloud 9 compared to G-Cloud 8, boosted in part by the increased capability and products provided by Civica Digital, the group’s newest division launched in January 2017.
Civica Digital combines the digital expertise and experience of recent strategic acquisitions by the Civica Group, including Asidua, Web Technology Group (WTG), IPL and SFW. Since the launch, Civica Digital has secured a new five-year partnership with Hull City Council to implement a new CRM portal and better manage the data of its 250,000 citizens, along with working alongside UK higher education data and analysis expert HESA on its new Data Futures data collection system.
The latest product to be launched and available on G-Cloud is Civica FinancialsLIVE, a financial management information system (FMIS) which is managed and hosted in Civica’s secure cloud environment. The product has been developed specifically to meet the growing requirements of local government organisations including local authorities and local public services. FinancialsLIVE delivers all the key FMIS functions but secure cloud hosting and management by Civica removes the need for the in-house infrastructure and resources required to host, manage and support an on-premise solution. It can therefore deliver significant increases in efficiency and support local government as it works to transform the services it provides in an increasingly austere financial climate.
Innovation and versatility are key to Civica’s cloud-based products and services, and the company is a strong supporter of this key framework. The company envisages that changes made for G-Cloud 9 will encourage wider cloud adoption across the public sector, particularly in local government, where take-up of cloud and use of the G-Cloud framework has lagged behind the wider public sector.
We welcome the significant improvements that have been made to G-Cloud for this latest iteration and expect to see more public sector customers embracing cloud technology as a result. As a UK sovereign cloud provider, Civica particularly welcomes the increased focus on security within G-Cloud 9, as the issue of protecting sensitive data becomes ever-more important to our customers.
“The breadth and depth of our products and services on G-Cloud 9 means we can successfully support our customers as they select, migrate, deploy, develop and maximise their investment in cloud technology. It’s key for us that we’re able to provide this support throughout their transformation journey – from end-to-end – and in a flexible and agile manner.”
