Ed Welsh is strategic government advisor to the Group, providing extensive experience of government efficiency and reform. He was formerly executive director of transformation at the Cabinet Office, leading numerous initiatives including improving the way government partners with the private sector, establishment of back-office shared services and working within government to reform commercial functions and deliver more services digitally.
Prior to the Cabinet Office Ed worked as a managing director at financial advisory group Rothschild. As global co-head of Business Services, he was responsible for the provision of advice on mergers and acquisitions, company flotations and debt related matters.
Nick Scholte is strategic health & care advisor to the Group, supporting the development of Civica’s strategy in the sector. He was formerly chief executive officer of the NHS Business Services Authority for 11 years, leading and delivering major programmes of automation, digitisation and data analytics improvements, alongside delivering substantial operating cost savings.
He brings extensive experience within the health sector, latterly in executive positions across the NHS and has overseen a number of major change initiatives and managing multiple stakeholders. Prior to his role at NHS BSA, Mr Scholte spent seven years as chief executive of the Prescription Pricing Authority and before 1999, was business systems director of the Legal Aid Board.
