Software Support Engineer

We require a Software Support Engineer to join our team in Vadodara, India, to be an integral member of a team of UK and Indian resources responsible for the support of a number of applications for a number of CIVICA’s major customers.

 

  • Analysing C#/ASP.NET code, fixing bugs and implementing change requests
  • Gain full application familiarisation
  • Respond to new incidents quickly and well within SLA
  • Resolve the majority of incidents within the clients SLA
  • Communicate with client and keep them up to date with progress of their incident, through phone, email and an incident logging tool
  • Collaborate in a timely way with your peers both to provide and receive help
  • Review application logs daily and act on any relevant events and alerts
  • Create technical and user documentation based on learnings in support and gaps in the application’s documentation
  • Liaise with UK and Indian developers on other problem fixes or application updates to help test and implement into UAT and Production environments
  • Defect fixing of designated problems
  • Preparation and thorough testing of support fix patches
  • Maintain and update the configuration management systems
  • Maintain license management for various environments
  • Become an expert in designated areas of a client’s applications
  • Be prepared to work outside of business hours to implement updates to a client’s Production environment
  • Comply with corporate test processes and ISO9001 quality management system
  • Contribute to regular client meetings

Required Skills:

  • University degree (equivalent alternative qualifications will be considered).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a support role
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with ASP.NET
  • Familiarity with writing SQL queries
  • Familiarity with testing processes
  • Good diagnosis skills
  • Proactive personality and able to work autonomously
  • Good team player
