Location: Home Based with Travel between Woking, Hammersmith and Bristol Offices

Civica Digital requires a People Development Manager to be responsible for inducting, managing and developing a large Business Analysis Practice to ensure they are appropriately skilled and suitable for Client Projects,

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Resourcing team to input to the recruitment process ensuring the right people join the team
  • Manage and drive a consistent and effective business induction and probation (working with HR)
  • Work with Capability Leads to develop ‘capability’ training programs, certification requirements and competency frameworks
  • Analyse, assess, drive and manage training plans in line with business and individual needs
  • Support operations by providing an escalation route for peoples performance while on assignment
  • Work closely with Head of Resourcing to ensure appropriate decision making regarding resource allocation, supporting sales where necessary also
  • Management and development for individuals (and associated bench assignments) while off-charge and ‘on the bench’, and work to promote their development to move back to chargeable work
  • Record and report and drive team utilisation
  • Develop strong relationships with their team to proactively aid Resourcing with matching to customer & sales needs and for the development of the individual
  • Ensure attrition is managed, and exit interviews are completed and root cause issues addressed
  • Marketability - by ensuring CVs/skills are to up-date/up-graded on a regular basis by the team
  • Ensure all sales opportunities are captured and fed back to sales
  • Act as a role model, mentor and coach - providing line management, feedback and guidance to their team and improve their performance
  • Lead, motivate and inspire members of their team building strong productive working relationships and effective communication and engagement channels
  • Conduct bi-annual performance appraisal, co-ordinate feedback on the work performed in the year
  • Manage the pay review process
  • Help individuals build networks internally & externally

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of man management of BA teams, (5+ years’ experience)
  • BA background (delivering software and process Business Analysis services)
  • Strong Agile experience
  • Excellent coaching and motivating skills

  • An excellent communicator with highly developed networking and influencing skills
