Fairfield Open Libraries first live with BorrowBox integration
Fairfield Open Libraries first worldwide user of BorrowBox LMS integration
Melbourne – 17 June, 2016: Civica Library Solutions, a market leader in specialist software and outsourcing that help organisations to transform the way they work, is pleased to announce that Fairfield Open Libraries, New South Wales, is the first customer worldwide to go live with the new BorrowBox API integration.
Bolinda e-books and audiobooks can now be discovered, accessed and loaned directly through the Spydus Integrated Library Management System, in addition to the native BorrowBox application. For library staff, the integration enables valuable usage statistics via standard Spydus reports.
“Spydus has become a one-stop-shop for our customers who can now browse our entire collection of physical and eBooks from the catalogue,” said Paul Scully, Manager Customer and Library Services at Fairfield City.
“Bolinda’s BorrowBox app has always been very popular with library patrons,” said Marc Nolan, Managing Director of Civica Library Solutions. “We understand that many patrons will continue to use the app to borrow Bolinda items, but the seamless integration into Spydus10 enables discovery and exposure to Bolinda’s excellent content for a new set of library patrons who may not be current users.”
